The OPSC Skills Academy is part of Orland Park Soccer Club's competitive programming beginning the week of April 12th. The Academy offers sessions for players ages 3-12 playing for the first time or looking to advance their skills for a competitive team.
Pre-OPSC Skills Academy offers fun, high-energy kids soccer classes in Orland Park. Ages 3-5 10 sessions minimum, up to 13 with favorable weather. $100
Set in a fun, non-competitive environment, we offer an age-specific program which introduces children to the fundamentals of soccer through creative programming and imaginative games. Our dynamic coaching staff, consisting of experienced professional soccer specialists, utilize a unique curriculum which is crafted to improve soccer skills, build self-confidence, and develop socialization skills.
OPSC Beginners Skills Academy classes are designed for kids who have not played a lot of soccer, if any, or who respond better to a low-key environment. Ages 6-9 10 sessions minimum, up to 13 with favorable weather. $120
Classes build basic soccer techniques (dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting) and develop a sense of confidence on the field. Players will also learn sportsmanship and team play. Classes include small-sided games to encourage tactical application of their learned techniques in game like situations.
OPSC Advanced Skills Academy- Designed for kids who play competitively or plan to attend competitive team tryouts. This class is designed for players with soccer experience. Ages 6-12 10 sessions minimum, up to 13 with favorable weather. $120
This class focuses on technical fundamentals of player development; controlled dribbling, precision passing, technical shooting, and proper receiving in a fast paced environment. This class includes small-sided games to encourage tactical application of their learned techniques in game like situations.
Additional Details All events will be at Schussler Park for Spring 2021. 3-5 year old players will have sessions 2 days a week on Mon-Friday starting between 4pm and 5pm. Most 6-12 year old soccer players in beginner or advanced training courses will have sessions 2 days a week on Tues, Thurs, or Fri with start times between 530 and 7pm. OPSC promoted soccer camps will not conflict with this program. OPSC Select competitive team players will not have conflicting practice days.
Full refunds will be given should we have a cancellation due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. OPSC will follow Illinois Youth Soccer, State, and Local rules and recommendations related to Covid-19.
